Spring is in the air! Time to get your car ready for warmer weather and longer days. Here are some tips to get your car ready for spring.

Sell my car

The arrival of spring not only signals the end of cold winter weather, but also the start of longer days and warmer temperatures. Now that it’s less likely to be raining or snowing, you can finally drive your car again and go on road trips with your friends and family! Here are some tips on how to get your car ready for spring so you can enjoy the long summer months ahead.

Take care of your tires

Your tires are one of the most important parts of your car, so it's important to take care of them. Check the tread and pressure regularly, and be sure to have them rotated every 5,000 miles or so. If you live in an area with a lot of potholes, you may want to consider getting your tires aligned as well.

Dealing with winter grime

The first step is to give your car a good wash. Be sure to pay extra attention to areas that have been exposed to salt and other de-icing chemicals. These can damage your paint if left untreated. Next, check your tires and make sure they have enough tread. If not, it's time for new ones. Finally, give your interior a good cleaning. Vacuum up any dirt and debris that has accumulated over the winter months.

Wash and wax

A good wash and wax will not only make your car look great, but will also help protect it from the elements. Plus, it's a great way to start off the season with a clean slate.

To wash your car, you'll need a bucket of soapy water, a sponge or washcloth, and a hose. Start by washing the wheels and tires first, then move on to the body of the car.

Check the battery and fluid levels

It's a good idea to check your battery and fluid levels before the warmer weather hits. This way, you can be sure that your car is running smoothly and won't have any problems when you're out on the road.

Change the cabin air filter

As winter comes to a close, it's time to start thinking about getting your car ready for spring. One of the first things you should do is change the cabin air filter. A cabin air filter helps remove pollen, dust, and other airborne contaminants from the air inside your car.

Clean out the trunk

It's time to say goodbye to the winter boots and extra layers of clothes. Give your trunk a good cleaning out so you have more space for road trip essentials this spring. While you're at it, check your spare tire and make sure it's properly inflated. You don't want to be stranded on the side of the road with a flat!

Prepare for long road trips

Warm weather means road trip season! Get your car ready for long days on the open road with these tips.

First, make sure you have a full tank of gas and an emergency kit including a first-aid kit, flares, and jumper cables. Second, check your tires to see if they need any air or repairs. Third, check all your fluids, including oil, coolant, and wiper fluid.
